Sara Campbell leads the test bed for trapped ions with integrated photonics at Quantinuum in Colorado. She received her PhD in 2017 from the University of Colorado Boulder, working on optical lattice clocks and degenerate Fermi gases. She then pursued a postdoc at the University of California, Berkeley, implementing laser-based phase-contrast transmission electron microscopy. She is interested in tackling the engineering challenges on the road to high-fidelity quantum operations with trap-integrated photonics.

A Path to Scalable Quantum Computers

The demonstration that ions can be precisely manipulated in a trap containing integrated photonics paves the way for a large-scale trapped-ion quantum processor. Read More »
